== Background == SC Village had an established history of organising large-scale recreational paintball events before the introduction of Decay of Nations. Its earlier [[Monsterball]] event brought hundreds of participants together across the venue's extensive playing fields. SC Village subsequently identified Decay of Nations as the continuation of this big-game tradition.[2]
