Decay of Nations 1
Decay of Nations 1 was the inaugural edition of the American scenario paintball event Decay of Nations, held on 25–26 August 2007 at SC Village in Corona, California. The event was organised by SC Village Productions and established the series that subsequently became one of the largest scenario paintball gatherings on the West Coast of the United States.[1]
Background
[edit]SC Village had an established history of organising large-scale recreational paintball events before the introduction of Decay of Nations.
Its earlier Monsterball event brought hundreds of participants together across the venue's extensive playing fields. SC Village subsequently identified Decay of Nations as the continuation of this big-game tradition.[2]
Event
[edit]The inaugural Decay of Nations took place over the weekend of 25–26 August 2007.
The event was organised by SC Village Productions and attracted participants from the Southern California scenario paintball community.
Among the documented participating teams was Psycho Clown Posse, whose historical event records list Decay of Nations at SC Village on both dates.[1]
The event was followed by Decay of Nations 2, held from 22 to 24 August 2008 at the same venue.[1]

The same records identify the subsequent events as Decay of Nations 2 in 2008, Decay of Nations 3 in 2009, Decay of Nations 4 in 2010 and Decay of Nations 5 in 2011.[1]
Contemporary results, attendance figures, opposing commanders and the winning faction for the 2007 edition have not been established from the available records.
