The Last Boy Scouts (New Zealand Paintball Team)
The Last Boy Scouts was a Christchurch-based New Zealand competitive paintball team documented at the 1998 National Three-Man Centre Flag Competition in Invercargill. The team finished fourth in the published end-results table after playing four of its six matches with two players.[1]
Tournament history
[edit]The Last Boy Scouts competed at the National Three-Man Centre Flag Competition held in Invercargill over Queen's Birthday weekend in 1998. Four teams played six matches each over one and a half days, using three-player centre-flag games on two fields.[1]
The team travelled from Christchurch with two players: captain Brian “B1” Meckle and Aaron Morris. Invercargill player Alex Gordon joined the entry on Sunday. The team consequently played four of its six matches with only two players.[1]
The Last Boy Scouts recorded 90 points in the published end-results table, finishing fourth behind S.L.O.B.s, WarPigs and K.S.B.[1]
Meckle received the tournament's sportsmanship award. His forename is printed as Brian in the roster and Bryan in the later awards passage of the same report; Brian is retained because it accompanies the event line-up.[1]
