Datis Girls (Iran Paintball Team)

From WikiPaintball

Datis Girls, also documented in the organisation's later publications as Datis Ladies, is an Iranian women's tournament paintball team associated with Tehran and the wider Datis organisation.[1][2][3]

The team won the Iranian women's championship for the Iranian calendar year 1390 (2011–2012) and competed at Paintball World Cup Asia in 2012 and 2013. Later national league records and team publications document the organisation's women's competition and player development during the 2020s.[1][2][4][5]

History

[edit]

Iranian women's championship

[edit]

Datis Girls was documented as the women's team within the Datis organisation by February 2012.[1]

On 27 February 2012, Planet Eclipse reported that Datis Girls had won the women's cup and been crowned women's champions for the Iranian calendar year 1390. The report described an INPL event involving 26 teams across three divisions, including a dedicated women's bracket. The total covered the combined event rather than the women's competition alone.[1]

World Cup Asia 2012

[edit]

Datis Girls competed at World Cup Asia in Langkawi, Malaysia, from 9 to 11 November 2012. The team entered Division 3 and finished 44th among 46 teams, receiving 14 ranking points.[2]

World Cup Asia 2013

[edit]

The team returned to Langkawi for the NAZA World Cup Asia tournament held from 15 to 17 November 2013. Datis Girls finished 25th among 54 Division 3 teams.[2]

Competition records document five preliminary games in the Division 3 Race-to-2 format. Datis Girls recorded three victories and two defeats:[6]

Date Opponent Datis Girls score Opponent score Result
16 November 2013 Raging Phoenix 2 0 Win
16 November 2013 Hellion Reborn 2 1 Win
17 November 2013 Hooligans 0 2 Loss
17 November 2013 A.C.E.S 0 2 Loss
17 November 2013 Leopard 2 1 Win

Both World Cup Asia appearances were in Division 3 rather than a separate women's tournament division.[2][6]

National competition in 2024

[edit]

At the third round of the Iranian national league in 1403, held in Mashhad from 3 to 6 Mehr 1403 (24–27 September 2024), the organiser recorded Datis Tehran winning the women's professional electronic competition. Persian Gulf Tehran finished second and Spad Mashhad third. Five women's teams participated.[4]

In a retrospective post published on 23 September 2025, the Datis account described its women's squad as "Overall champions 2024". The caption identifies the achievement with 2024 rather than the post's publication year, but does not supply a complete standings table or points total.[5]

Recruitment and competition in 2025

[edit]

An August 2025 recruitment announcement sought players for the organisation's women's squad alongside Datis Tehran and Datis Shemiranat. It scheduled an online theory assessment followed by practical trials at the Sang Ahan Bafq paintball academy in Yazd Province.[7]

On 22 October 2025, the organisation published another national competition victory announcement using the name Datis Ladies. The caption identified Milock as the supporter of that event.[3]

A subsequent post named Asal Arab-Baraghi, number 86, as the most valuable player of the second round of national competition. The announcement was published on 23 October 2025.[8]

Activity in 2026

[edit]

The organisation continued publishing material about its women players during 2026.

An August post identified footage of Sepideh and Nazanin playing at a national championship held in Rasht. The caption names the competition location but does not specify the event's year or exact playing dates.[9]

Other player profiles identified Zahra Afzali, number 18, and Sarvenaz Komasi, number 09.[10][11]

Players

[edit]

The organisation's public posts identify the following women players. These are individual documented profiles rather than a complete event roster.

Player Number Documentation
Pardis Farnezhad 07 Identified as a Datis Ladies player in an October 2025 profile. [12]
Asal Arab-Baraghi 86 Named as second-round national competition MVP in October 2025. [8]
Zahra Afzali 18 Profile published by the Datis account in 2026. [10]
Sarvenaz Komasi 09 Profile published by the Datis account in October 2026. [11]

The Pardis Farnezhad profile describes her participation in paintball as extending back to the Iranian year 1389 (2010–2011). This is an account of the player's experience, rather than a founding date for the team.[12]
