Allan Gatland

From WikiPaintball

Allan Gatland is a New Zealand paintball player identified as captain of Kamo Karzi in a contemporary New Zealand Paintball profile preserved in February 1998.[1]

Playing career

[edit]

Gatland's profile records approximately three and a half years of involvement in paintball at the time of the interview. He recalled discovering the sport after attending a game as a spectator.[1]

The profile identifies him as Kamo Karzi captain. A separate profile of teammate Paul “Spider” McKay refers to the team's captain as “Alan” when recounting a flag hang at Splatman 97.[1][2]

Kamo Karzi's contemporary website records the team's Division Two victory in the 1997 National Paintball League and its third-place overall finish at the 1997 Auckland Nationals.[3]

Equipment and views

[edit]

Gatland reported using a Panther marker, while emphasising accuracy and reliability rather than a preference for a particular model.[1]

He advocated more teams and competitions serving a wider range of participants, rather than concentrating on the leading teams.[1]
