History
[edit]Establishment
[edit]Aisawan International describes itself as a paintball organisation founded in 2013 by Acha Aisawan.
According to the organisation's website, its activities include competitive team development, tournament organisation, sponsorship coordination and international participation.[1]
The organisation developed during a period of substantial competitive paintball activity in Southeast Asia.
Thailand hosted tournaments associated with the Paintball Asia League Series, while Malaysian and Singaporean competitions attracted teams from across the region.
The Aisawan name subsequently appeared in team registrations from several countries.
Early competitive activity
[edit]One of the earliest documented teams using the Aisawan name was Virgin Aisawan, a Thai team registered on PBLeagues in October 2013.
The team competed at the NAZA World Cup Asia tournament in Malaysia in November 2013, finishing second of 54 teams in Division 3.[2]
This result provides independent evidence of Aisawan-branded competitive activity during the organisation's stated founding year.
However, the registration record does not establish the legal relationship between Virgin Aisawan and Aisawan International.
Regional expansion
[edit]During the following years, the Aisawan name appeared in the registrations of teams from several countries.
Examples included:
- Virgin Aisawan — Thailand
- Inception Aisawan — Thailand
- Duckside Aisawan — Malaysia
- We Are Legion Aisawan — Singapore
- Leakside Jokerz Aisawan — Brunei
- Phoenix Tahiti Aisawan — French Polynesia
These names demonstrate the geographical reach of Aisawan branding within international paintball.
The available records do not establish whether every team was owned, sponsored, managed or otherwise formally affiliated with Aisawan International.
Competitive teams
[edit]Virgin Aisawan
[edit]Virgin Aisawan was a Bangkok-area competitive paintball team documented in international tournaments from 2013.
Its PBLeagues registration identifies Bang Khen, Thailand, as its home location.[2]
Notable results included:
| Year | Tournament | Division | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2013 | NAZA World Cup Asia | Division 3 | 2nd of 54 |
| 2014 | PALS Bangkok | Division 3 | 2nd of 7 |
| 2014 | Paintball World Cup Asia | Division 3 | 1st of 35 |
| 2015 | PALS Singapore | Division 2 | 4th of 12 |
| 2015 | Paintball World Cup, Langkawi | Division 2 | 12th of 28 |
| 2016 | Singapore Paintball Series Leg 1 | Open | 4th of 6 |
| 2017 | World Paintball Championship, Thailand | Race-to-4 | 9th of 9 |
Virgin Aisawan also placed first in the 2014 PALS Division 3 season rankings, with its World Cup Asia victory contributing the counted result.[3]
Inception Aisawan
[edit]Inception Aisawan was another Thai team competing internationally during the mid-2010s.
The team won Division 2 at the 2015 Paintball World Cup in Langkawi, Malaysia.[4]
The team also appeared in the results of the 2016 Thailand Paintball Official Circuit tournament in Phuket.
The use of the Aisawan name identifies a branding connection, although the precise organisational relationship requires further documentation.
Duckside Aisawan
[edit]Duckside Aisawan was a Malaysian competitive paintball team.
The team appeared in international tournament results during the 2010s, including the 2017 World Paintball Championship in Thailand.
Duckside Aisawan won the 2017 championship's Race-to-4 club division.
The team was also listed in contemporary paintball media coverage of the 2017 ASEAN Cup in Malaysia.[5]
We Are Legion Aisawan
[edit]We Are Legion was a Singaporean competitive paintball team that subsequently competed under the name We Are Legion Aisawan.
Its PBLeagues history documents participation in Singaporean and Malaysian tournaments before the Aisawan name appeared in 2017.[6]
Notable results under the Aisawan name included:
| Year | Tournament | Result |
|---|---|---|
| 2017 | Singapore Paintball Series 500, Event 1 | 2nd of 9 |
| 2017 | GI Sportz Singapore Cup | 3rd of 5 |
| 2017 | World Paintball Championship, Thailand | 4th of 12 |
The team's history illustrates how an existing regional team could compete under Aisawan branding.
Leakside Jokerz Aisawan
[edit]Leakside Jokerz was a competitive paintball team from Brunei.
Its tournament records show that the Aisawan name was used during the 2016–2019 period.[7]
In February 2017, the team finished second at the Singapore Paintball Series 500 Division 3 competition.
The result was reported by Brunei's government newspaper Pelita Brunei, which described the team reaching the final before losing to Singapore's Outlaws Uprising.[8]
This provides independent contemporary reporting of an Aisawan-branded team outside Thailand.
Phoenix Tahiti Aisawan
[edit]Phoenix Tahiti was a competitive paintball team based in French Polynesia.
The team's PBLeagues record shows the use of the name Phoenix Tahiti Aisawan in international events during 2017–2019.[9]
Documented appearances included:
- Paintball World Cup Asia 2017, Malaysia
- George Town International X Ball Cup 2018, Malaysia
- World Paintball Championship 2019, Thailand
The team's record demonstrates that Aisawan branding extended beyond Southeast Asia into the Pacific region.
Women's paintball
[edit]Aisawan Ladies International
[edit]The Aisawan International website identifies Aisawan Ladies International as an all-female competitive paintball project.
The organisation describes the team as bringing together players from Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore and the Philippines.[1]
Contemporary tournament media independently documents a team named Aisawan Ladies Paintball in the amateur division entry list for the 2017 ASEAN Cup in Malaysia.[5]
The NAWASIA website also lists Aisawan Ladies in its three-star competition rankings.[10]
These records demonstrate the continued use of the Aisawan Ladies name in competitive paintball.
However, the exact roster, founding date and continuity between the 2017 team and the later international project have not been established.
Tournament organisation
[edit]World Paintball Championship
[edit]Acha Aisawan identifies himself as the founder and owner of the World Paintball Championship on the NAWASIA website.[1]
World Paintball Championship events were documented in Thailand in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
The 2017 championship included a Nations Cup and several club divisions.
Aisawan-branded teams competed in these tournaments.
The organiser's statement establishes a claimed relationship between Aisawan and the championship, but the precise ownership and governing arrangements have not been independently verified.
NAWASIA Paintball Competition
[edit]Acha Aisawan is also identified as the founder of the NAWASIA Competition Series.
NAWASIA organised competitive paintball events in Bangkok during 2025 and 2026.
The series used multiple divisions and was associated with SAP Speed Airsoft & Paintball Field in Lat Krabang.
Published tournament listings identify Acha Aisawan as the contact for the 2025 NAWASIA rounds.[11]
The relationship demonstrates continued involvement in Thai tournament organisation.
World Paintball Champions League
[edit]The Aisawan International website identifies the World Paintball Champions League as another project associated with the Aisawan organisation.
It describes the project as a sports management and competitive networking initiative.[1]
The available evidence does not establish its founding date, independent legal status, full competition calendar or historical results.
It should not be confused with the separately documented World Paintball Championship events.
International network
[edit]Aisawan-branded teams participated in tournaments across several countries and territories.
| Country or territory | Documented Aisawan-branded team |
|---|---|
| Thailand | Virgin Aisawan; Inception Aisawan |
| Malaysia | Duckside Aisawan |
| Singapore | We Are Legion Aisawan |
| Brunei | Leakside Jokerz Aisawan |
| French Polynesia | Phoenix Tahiti Aisawan |
Other Aisawan-branded teams appeared in tournament entry lists, including Riot Crew Aisawan, Kejahatan Aisawan, DRX Aisawan and Rampage Aisawan.[5]
The records demonstrate widespread use of the Aisawan name.
They do not, by themselves, establish a single ownership structure covering every team.

Its documented significance includes:
