2023 Skirmish Shield
The 2023 Skirmish Shield was the opening event of the 2023 European Classic Paintball League season. It took place on 19 March 2023 at Skirmish Pro Training Centre and featured nine teams playing ten-player classic paintball.[1][2]
Format and field
[edit]The organiser's event report described a Sup'Air field with elongated “zipper” bunkers on either side of a central “M” bunker. The layout was intended to encourage attacking play across the full width of the field.[2]
An additional 100 series points were available for the fastest game of the day. Matt Dunk was identified as the event's ultimate referee.[2]
Video coverage
[edit]Nigel published skirmish shield ecpl 2023 on 20 March 2023, identifying the footage as the season's first event at Skirmish Nottingham.[3]
Truternology by Nicky T published a preview on 8 April 2023, explicitly identifying the playing date as 19 March. A longer event video followed on 21 April, accompanied by a report describing the nine-team field, layout and fastest-game bonus.[1][2]
