2022 NXL Australia Finals
2022 NXL Australia Finals was the proposed season-ending championship event for 2022 NXL Australia. The league suspended the finals and associated prize pool because of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, while leaving open the possibility of holding a finals event following a later decision.[1]
Suspension
[edit]In a notice preserved on 13 August 2022, NXL Australia stated that the 2022 season finals and associated prize pool had been suspended. Regional events could continue at host venues where possible and within government guidelines.[1]
The notice stated that any decision to hold the 2022 finals would be made jointly by the host venues and NXL Australia and announced subsequently. It did not specify a finals date or venue.[1]
Event status
[edit]Suspension is documented, but a subsequent reinstatement or completed national finals event has not been verified. No confirmed date, venue, final standings or match scores have been established.
