2021 NXL World Cup
The 2021 NXL World Cup was a paintball tournament held from 11 to 14 November 2021 in Kissimmee, Florida, United States. It concluded the National Xball League (NXL) United States season. San Diego Dynasty defeated San Antonio X-Factor 7–6 in the professional final and finished first in the professional season standings.[1][2][3]
Dates and venue
[edit]The official event dates were 11–14 November 2021. The venue was listed as NXL World Cup, 6000 W Osceola Parkway, Kissimmee, Florida.[1]
The tournament followed the 2021 NXL Windy City Major, held in September.[1]
Competition formats
[edit]The programme included professional and semi-professional X-Ball, Division 2–5 X-Ball, Division 3–5 five-player competition, amateur 10-player competition, mechanical Mounds competitions, and three-player competition. Separate female Open X-Ball and three-player categories were also advertised.[1]
Professional X-Ball used 15-minute matches with a six-point mercy rule. Semi-professional and Division 2 matches used 15-minute games with a five-point mercy rule. Divisions 3 and 4 used 12-minute games with a four-point mercy rule, while Division 5 used 10-minute games with a three-point mercy rule.[1]
The mechanical Mounds programme offered five-player, seven-player and 10-player competitions. Female Open X-Ball was scheduled as a 20-minute competition.[1]

[edit]San Diego Dynasty defeated San Antonio X-Factor 7–6 in the professional final, retaining the World Cup title it had won in 2020.[2][5]
Dynasty also secured the professional season championship, finishing with 677 ranking points.[3]
