Professional division changes
[edit]Image and Mutiny entered the professional division following their amateur appearances at the Old Bay Classic. Image had won that event's amateur division, while Mutiny finished third.[4][5]
The league's contemporary Windy City preview explained that the teams received professional places following the relegation of Saberwolves and the vacancy left by RC Seadogs. The same report stated that Saberwolves had lost professional eligibility after missing the Old Bay Classic.[4]
At Windy City, Image finished fifth and Mutiny 11th in the professional standings. Saberwolves competed in the amateur division and finished third.[3]
Competition
[edit]Professional
[edit]Los Angeles Infamous won ahead of ac EMPIRE and Saints. Infamous accumulated 123 points in the three-team final round, compared with 23 for ac EMPIRE and 21 for Saints.[3][6]
The result completed a sweep of the season's two professional events for Infamous and secured the professional season championship.[2]
Amateur
[edit]Team Smoke won ahead of ThunderHorse and Saberwolves. The final round was closely scored: Team Smoke accumulated 33 points, ThunderHorse 32 and Saberwolves 27.[3][6]
Combined with second place at the Old Bay Classic, the victory secured Team Smoke's amateur season championship.[2]
The league's pre-event report identified the amateur season title as carrying a professional place for 2022.[4]
