2016 MXL World Cup Latinamerica
The 2016 MXL World Cup Latinamerica was the final event listed in the 2016 Mexican Xball League calendar, held in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico, on 8–9 October 2016. The venue was the Sindicato de Taxistas sports grounds on the Chetumal–Puerto Juárez road.[1] SCORPION LEGACY won Ultimate Champions and Mexico City Titans won Premier Xball in the published event placings.[2]
Competition
[edit]The published tournament draw contained 24 teams across three club divisions: five in Ultimate Champions, five in Premier Xball and 14 in Junior.[3] Ultimate Champions and Premier Xball used X-ball formats, while Junior was a three-player race-to-two competition.[1]
| Division | Teams in published draw |
|---|---|
| Ultimate Champions | 5 |
| Premier Xball | 5 |
| Junior | 14 |
A separate World Cup Latinamerica category listed ten registered entries: Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, United States and Venezuela.[1][2] Its alphabetical listing is not used here as a verified finishing order; the published draw covers only the three club divisions, and the score archive contains no completed match scores.[2][3][4]
