2014 MXL

From WikiPaintball

The 2014 MXL was the 2014 season recorded under the Mexican Xball League in the PBLeagues archive. Its calendar listed five events between 22 February and 16 November 2014, in Guadalajara, Juriquilla, León and Playa del Carmen.[1] Contemporary coverage used the name Mexican Paintball League (MPL).[8] Tj All Stars, tj allstarz gold, Mariposas Salvajes and tj allstarz jr led Open, Division 3, five-player Division 4 and Division 5 respectively in the published season standings.[2]

Events

[edit]

Guadalajara opening round

[edit]

The February event's published placings list entries named tj allstarz gold first in both Division 3 and five-player Division 4. Redfox A won the three-player Division 5 competition.[3]

Querétaro

[edit]

The Querétaro record labels both race-to-two competitions Division 4, distinguishing five-player and three-player formats. In each it lists four teams in first place. The five-player entries are N-TEAM, renegades, SCORPION LEGACY and tj allstarz black; the three-player entries are SCORPION BLACK, SPARTANS PAINTBALL TEAM, tj allstarz jr and warriors. Open is listed alphabetically, so these records do not establish individual divisional winners.[4]

León

[edit]

Tj All Stars won Open, tj allstarz black won Division 4 and tj allstarz jr won Division 5.[5]

Playa del Carmen

[edit]

The event placings list Tj All Stars first in Open without points awarded. Drink and Destroy won Division 4 with 200 points, while SCORPION BLACK won Division 5 with 200 points.[6]

Guadalajara final round

[edit]

PBLeagues preserves team lists and a draw for the November event, but no verified final placings. Its Open entries are alphabetical and its Division 4 and Division 5 entries have no place numbers.[7]

A Planet Eclipse report published on 26 November describes a Guadalajara MPL event attended by more than 20 teams. Using its own division labels, it names TJ ALLSTARZ WHITE first in Open, followed by Tobasco WarriorsA and BlackWaterA. It names TJ ALLSTARZ BLACK first in D2 and Tobasco WarriorsB second. These labels are retained without equating them to the divisions in the registration archive.[8]

The report identifies Jose Luis Alvarez, Arturo Andrade and Pablo Villegas as the MPL organisers.[8]

Final season standings

[edit]

The following tables reproduce all 47 entries and total points in the published season standings. November's Guadalajara finale is absent from those tables. Querétaro contributes no displayed points, and Playa del Carmen contributes points only in Division 4 and Division 5.[2]

Separate division entries, team names and unplaced records are retained as published. Names associated with some round results differ between the event records and season standings.[2][3]
