2007 MXball Finals
The 2007 MXball Finals were announced for 16–17 June 2007 at Xtreme Paintball, at kilometre 11.5 on the Ajusco road in Mexico City.[1] The surviving contemporary records document the proposed venue, schedule arrangements and qualification position before the finals. A later UNAM study names Xtreme Planet as the winner, but a contemporary final results table has not been verified.[2][3][4]
Announcement and schedule
[edit]On 8 June 2007, the LiveTheSport account aiba posted a field-layout notice giving the finals dates and venue.[1]
In a separate schedule post that day, aiba explained that only remaining games affecting qualification had been scheduled, allowing those games and the finals to fit into one weekend.[2]
On 11 June, the account Administrador stated that the finals would not be combined with Nauticopa because their dates did not coincide.[2]
Qualification before the finals
[edit]A standings correction posted by aiba on 8 June identified the following teams as already qualified:[3]

The same post stated that three places remained undecided, with Raxxas, Heaven and Hell, Fearless, Black Mamba, Antrax and Pintura Fresca still in contention.[3] These were qualification positions before the finals, rather than a final finishing order.
Reported outcome
[edit]Saraí Fuentes García's 2009 UNAM study lists an event in Mexico City on 16–17 June 2007 and states that Xtreme Planet won.[4] This is a later secondary account, distinct from the contemporary announcements and qualification records.
No contemporary finals results table, complete list of finalists, runner-up or match scores has been verified. The announced dates and venue therefore remain distinguished from the later reported outcome.
