2003 Mount Gambier Paintball Tournament

From WikiPaintball

The 2003 Mount Gambier Paintball Tournament was a two-day paintball competition held at Mount Gambier, South Australia, in March 2003. Players associated with Victoria's Peninsula Paintball Club attended. A contemporary participant report recorded a first-place finish by Total Eclipse.[1][2]

Organisation

[edit]

Pre-event discussion advertised the tournament for 1–2 March 2003 and described preparations involving SAPPA. Peninsula Paintball Club members used their forum to organise Victorian entries.[1]

The discussion proposed competition between South Australian and Victorian players, including a perpetual interstate trophy. The surviving posts document this proposal rather than confirming that the trophy was awarded.[1]

Competition

[edit]

An account posted on 3 March described play across a tyre speedball field and a trench-and-mound field over two days.[2]

The writer, posting as “seedys”, reported joining Total Eclipse as a replacement player on the second day. He described playing five games, achieving five maximum scores and finishing first with the team.[2]

Replies identified another participating entry as BGNT and discussed the loan of its reserve player to Total Eclipse.[2]

Reported result

[edit]

Total Eclipse was reported as finishing first. The account does not identify its division or provide a complete final standings table.[2]
