2000 Actions Mayhem

From WikiPaintball

2000 Actions Mayhem, also reported as the Actions Queen's Birthday Tournament, was a seven-player paintball tournament held on 4 June 2000 at Actions Paintball Sports Arena in Swanson, Auckland. Paint Contractors won Division One and Assault Korps won Division Two.[1]

Event

[edit]

The tournament was the first held on Actions' new fields at Swanson. Games took place on two barricade fields separated by a tree windbreak. Teams competed seven-a-side, capturing the opposing team's flag and returning it to their own flag station.[1]

Rain and hail left the fields muddy. Visiting teams included Tag n' Release from Rotorua and Dam Natives from Hawke's Bay.[1]

Results

[edit]

Paint Contractors won Division One after finishing second in the preliminary rounds. Assault Korps recovered from a poor preliminary performance to win Division Two. Warp Speed withdrew before the finals.[1]

The contemporary report published final placings without numerical scores.[1]
