1999 New Zealand Paintball Nationals

From WikiPaintball

The 1999 New Zealand Paintball Nationals was a five-player paintball tournament held on 23–24 October 1999 at Actions Paintball Sports Arena in Helensville, Auckland. Thirteen teams competed. Paint Contractors won with 1,045 points, finishing 20 points ahead of Saints Gold. Phantom 5 Purple placed third.[1]

Venue and format

[edit]

The tournament took place over Labour Weekend at the venue operated by Kyn Jackson. Matches used a centre flag and an eight-minute time limit. Play was divided between two adjoining fields: “Bunker”, the larger and slower-playing field, and “Speedball”.[1]

Members of Kamo Karzi provided most of the marshalling, with Marty Kinny serving as head marshal. Officials were assigned to individual fields, supported by a roving group monitoring games. Markers were chronographed as players entered the fields.[1]
