1999 National Three-Man Centre Flag Competition

From WikiPaintball

The 1999 National Three-Man Centre Flag Competition, also reported as the Invercargill Queen's Birthday Tournament, was held on 6 June 1999 at the Southern Paintball Sports Club's fields in Invercargill, New Zealand. Deviants defeated Psychosis 66–23 in the final.[1]

Event

[edit]

Seven teams had indicated that they would attend, but one withdrew shortly before the tournament and two did not appear. Four teams competed: Deviants from Dunedin, and Psychosis, Courage Under Fire and Lycka from Invercargill. The tournament took place over one day in wet and windy conditions.[1]

The competition used two fields: a larger field measuring approximately 100 by 50 metres and a speedball field measuring 75 by 40 metres. The final was played on the smaller field. Previous editions had used Muritangi Scout Camp.[1]
