1995 South Island Championships
The 1995 South Island Championships was a paintball competition held in Dunedin, New Zealand, with open-class and pump-action events. Flashpoint won both events.[1]
The event was described as taking place over Labour Weekend in a report published in April–June 1996. Its identification as the 1995 edition follows that chronology; Brian Thornley's later account also identified 1995 as a previous Dunedin tournament year.[1][2]
Competition
[edit]Saturday's competition used open-class equipment. Sunday's pump-action competition used five-minute ends and a limit of 100 rounds per end. Play took place in a pine forestry block.[1]
Flashpoint entered Red and Yellow teams, while an Invercargill team also participated. The report stated that Flashpoint won both events, with Flashpoint Red taking prize money and cases of paint.[1]
