The 2007 Campaign Cup was the London round of the Millennium Series, held in England from 20 to 22 July 2007. It was the third event of the 2007 Millennium Series season, following Toulouse and the Nürburgring.[1][2]

Joy Stockholm won the professional Champions Paintball League (CPL) competition, ahead of Moscow Phoenix, London Nexus and Marseille Icon. The victory moved Joy into the CPL championship lead.[2]

Event

[edit]

WARPIG's contemporary event index identifies the tournament as the London Campaign Cup and gives its dates as 20–22 July 2007. The site published separate field previews for CPL and Semi-Professional Paintball League (SPL) competition, and for seven-player and five-player competition.[1]

The London round was followed by the Charleroi event in September and the French Open at Paris-Disney in October.[2]

Championship background

[edit]

Philly Dogs entered London leading the championship with 200 points after winning both opening rounds. Joy Stockholm had finished second at Toulouse and the Nürburgring and stood second overall with 176 points.[2]

Frankfurt Syndicate and Toulouse Tontons each had 112 points, while London Nexus and Vision PPC Grenoble each had 120.[2]

Final standings

[edit]

Joy Stockholm took its first CPL event victory of the season in London. Moscow Phoenix finished second after placing tenth and 13th at the opening two rounds. London Nexus took third, with Marseille Icon fourth and Stockholm Ignition fifth.[2]

Philly Dogs finished ninth, earning 32 championship points. London was its only event finish outside the top two during the 2007 season.[2]

The archived official CPL ranking table records the following London placings. The points shown are championship-ranking points rather than individual match scores.[2]
