2020 ICPL season
The 2020 ICPL season was the second season of the International Classic Paintball League. Its completed United States championship calendar comprised the Sunshine Classic in January and the Windy City Classic in October, with professional and amateur ten-player competition and open five-player competition.[1][2][3]
Kapp Factory won the professional ten-player season championship, MVPS Dark Ops won amateur ten-player and AAF 2 finished first in the open five-player season standings.[1]

| 2020 ICPL Sunshine Classic | 24–26 January 2020 | Central Florida Paintball | Lakeland, Florida |
| 2020 ICPL Windy City Classic | 2–4 October 2020 | The Badlandz | Crete, Illinois |
Both events appear in the official 2020 season standings and event calendar.[1][2][3]
COVID-19 and the tournament programme
[edit]The two completed ICPL events were separated by more than eight months.[2][3]
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the related National Xball League cancelled proposed regional tournaments that had been intended to replace its Chicago Open. A league statement reproduced on 18 July 2020 said that the organisation would instead concentrate on the October Chicago ICPL tournament and November NXL World Cup.[4]
Those cancelled regional tournaments belonged to the NXL programme. The October ICPL Windy City Classic subsequently took place and contributed to the ICPL season standings.[1][4]
Formats
[edit]Both completed events offered professional and amateur ten-player divisions, together with an open five-player division. The event registration records specified 12-minute ten-player games and five-minute five-player games.[2][3]
Five-player competition was scheduled for Friday, followed by ten-player competition on Saturday and Sunday.[2][3]
