2020 NXL Australia NSW Round 1
2020 NXL Australia NSW Round 1 was a NXL Australia paintball tournament advertised for 7–8 March 2020 at Ultimate Paintball Camden in Cawdor, New South Wales, Australia. Contemporary photography confirms that the event took place. East Coast Hawks reported a win at the round, although complete divisional results have not been established.[1][2][3]
Dates and venue
[edit]PBLeagues and the league's official calendar advertised 7–8 March 2020 at Ultimate Paintball Camden. PBLeagues gave the address as Remembrance Driveway and Cawdor Road, Cawdor, New South Wales.[1][4]
Shoot published photographs on 11 March in an album titled “NXL NSW Round 1, 2020”, describing the event as having taken place at Ultimate Paintball over the preceding weekend. The album includes a photograph identifying Sydney 187 at the venue.[2][5]
Refs Inc. also published an album identifying the tournament as its first NSW NXL event.[6]
These records confirm that competition took place, but do not establish that games were played on both advertised days.
Advertised divisions
[edit]PBLeagues advertised five-man X-ball competition in two divisions:[1]
| Division | Advertised game length |
|---|---|
| Division 1 | Nine minutes |
| Division 2 | Seven minutes |
Teams and results
[edit]The surviving PBLeagues entry list names East Coast Hawks in Division 1 and Sydney 187 in Division 2. These entries do not establish the complete field or final standings.[7]
In a post dated 8 March 2020, East Coast Hawks reported winning NSW Round 1 and remaining undefeated. No supporting match scores or complete divisional table have been recovered.[3]
PBLeagues' score page states “No Games Completed”. This database status does not negate the contemporary photographic record of the event.[2][5][8]
Division 2 placings and a complete set of Division 1 results have not been verified.
