2025 MLPB Pro 3v3 World Championship
The 2025 MLPB Pro 3v3 World Championship was a professional three-player paintball tournament held on 1 August 2025 at The Stadium at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, Walt Disney World, Florida. Organised by Major League Paintball (MLPB), it featured four National Xball League professional teams and was broadcast live on ESPN2. Edmonton Impact won the championship, defeating San Diego Dynasty 6–5 in the final.[1][2][3]
Organisation and qualification
[edit]MLPB advertised qualification for the four highest-ranked teams in the NXL professional season standings. The registered participants were Edmonton Impact, PaintballFIT, Red Legion and San Diego Dynasty.[1][2]
PBLeagues registered the championship as a Major League Paintball event, separately from the NXL's regular tournaments. Its qualification nevertheless linked it directly to the NXL professional competition.[1][2]
Venue and broadcast
[edit]The tournament took place at The Stadium at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on 1 August 2025. Spectator admission was free, with gates scheduled to open at 9.30 am.[1]
MLPB advertised a live ESPN2 broadcast beginning at 10 am Eastern Time.[2]
Format
[edit]The competition used three-player Xball on a field measuring 120 feet by 100 feet. Each player began a point with one hopper and two pods of paint.[2]
Matches lasted ten minutes. The match clock continued running between points until the final 30 seconds, when it stopped between points.[2]
The published tie-breaking procedure specified a 30-second, sudden-death one-on-one overtime. If neither player was eliminated, the team with the fastest point win during regulation would advance.[2]
The four teams were divided into two preliminary pairings, with the winner of each advancing to the final.[3]
