2010 United Paintball Philippines International Championship

The 2010 United Paintball Philippines International Championship (UPPIC) was an international paintball tournament held at Stotsenberg Parade Ground, Clark Field, Philippines, with competition on 21–22 August 2010. It was the second round of the 2010 Paintball Asia League Series.[1]

PbRack Team USA won Division 1, Malaysia's Xtioneers 2 won Division 2 and the Philippines' Splatmasters won Division 3.[2]

Organisation and programme

A pre-event announcement identified United Paintballers of the Philippines as the organiser and Global Gutz Philippines as a major sponsor. It advertised a wider event programme for 19–22 August at Stotsenberg Grounds in Clark, Pampanga.[3]

Contemporary Malaysian reporting identified 21–22 August as the competition dates and confirmed the event's position between the opening PALS round in Pattaya and the World Cup Asia finale in Kuala Lumpur.[1]

Xtioneers Division 2 victory

The Star independently reported the Division 2 victory by Xtioneers II, confirming that the competition used an X-Ball format. The newspaper described them as the first Malaysian team to win a PALS Division 2 event outside Malaysia since the series began in 2006.[4]
