This article summarises selected 1998 United States paintball tournament results outside NPPL competition. The records cover the Great Western Series event near Portland, Oregon, and the 1998 ZAP International Amateur Open in Pennsylvania. [1][2][3][4]

The following leading placings cover eight divisions at two events. They do not represent a complete national calendar or season championship. Results follow WARPIG's contemporary coverage; ClassicScores corroborates the division winners and the listed five-player podiums. [1][2][3][4]

Event notes

[edit]

At Portland, KAPP and Lofty finished level in their deciding games. With neither team assessed final-round penalty points, KAPP took first place through its higher preliminary-round score. [2]

A participant account published by the P.A. Predators records attendance at the IAO's industry conference, trade show and an ASTM paintball subcommittee meeting. [5]
