The 2004 NPPL Las Vegas Open was the fourth tournament of the 2004 NPPL Super 7 season. Held in Las Vegas, Nevada, in September 2004, it featured seven-man competition across four divisions. Dynasty won the professional title ahead of XSV.[1][2]

Venue and season context

[edit]

The tournament took place on grass practice fields outside UNLV's Sam Boyd Stadium, returning to the venue used in 2003.[1]

Professional season rankings determined qualification for the NPPL's planned closed professional division in 2005, giving the remaining events additional importance.[1]

Professional competition

[edit]

Twenty-eight professional teams competed for twelve quarter-final places. Avalanche led the preliminary standings with eight wins and 781 points from a possible 800, followed by Dynasty on 774.[1]

Dynasty, XSV, Infamous and Entourage reached the semi-finals. Dynasty defeated XSV in two consecutive games to win the tournament, while Infamous finished third ahead of Entourage.[1]
