2000 Pan Am Seattle
The 2000 Pan Am Seattle was a Pan Am Circuit paintball tournament held at Paradise Paintball in Port Orchard, Washington. Genesis won the amateur five-player division, Armageddon Gold won the novice division, and Aftermath won the rookie division. The event also included Young Guns and stock-class competitions.[1]
Venue and format
[edit]Paradise Paintball was operated by Ed and Margaret Wood and occupied part of a community park. Tournament play used woodland fields and two inflatable Sup'Air fields.[1]
The five-player competition used the Pan Am Circuit's 200-round limit. Chipley Custom Machine competed with customised WGP Sniper pump markers and defeated the Naughty Dogs during the preliminary rounds.[1]
Preliminary games took place on Friday and Saturday, followed by the semi-finals and finals on Sunday. Rain affected portions of the competition. Refereeing teams included No Limit, Phoenix Heat, Wildcards and Sudden Impact.[1]
Young Guns and stock-class games used a smaller field with Game On Gear bunkers. Young Guns was a three-player competition for players aged 15 or younger at the start of the season who were not experienced tournament players.[1]
Five-player results
[edit]Exile and the Naughty Dogs finished the amateur semi-finals level on 186 points. As they had not played each other during that round, their preliminary scores determined which team advanced. Exile qualified for the finals.[1]
