Solid was a New Zealand competitive paintball team documented in the Auckland Super 5s series during 2006 and 2007. The team finished second in Division Two of the 2006 Super 5s and competed in Division One throughout the recovered rounds of the 2007 series.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]

Tournament history

2006

Solid competed in Division Two of the 2006 Super 5s. In the final round, reported on 4 December, the team scored 446 points and finished eighth in the combined round table. The final Division Two standings placed Solid second with 5,279 championship points, behind Legion.[1]

2007

Solid moved into Division One for the recovered 2007 Super 5s results. It finished fourth in the opening round on 25 February with 672 points.[2] The team scored 435 in Round 2 on 25 March, placing fifth in the combined table and bringing its published cumulative total to 1,107.[3]

In Round 3 on 22 April, Solid placed fourth in the combined table with 528 points. Its cumulative total increased to 1,635.[4] The recovered June results placed Solid fourth of twelve teams with 654 points.[5]

Solid scored 492 and finished fifth in the July round, when the published Division One table placed it third cumulatively with 2,781 points.[6] In the August round, the team scored 416 and finished sixth. It remained third in the Division One standings with a cumulative total of 3,197.[7]

A September discussion recorded expected attendance from Solid at Round 7, but no result from that round has been recovered. The pre-event reply is therefore not treated as confirmed participation.[8]

Personnel

A roster post in the surviving 2007 series discussion listed Kevin Lunt under Solid. No other names appeared beneath the team heading. The entry is evidence that Lunt was associated with the team, but it does not establish a complete roster or his participation in every round.[5]
