1998 Northland Open
The 1998 Northland Open was a five-player paintball tournament held in Whangārei, New Zealand, on 22 February 1998. Five teams competed, with Saints winning with 610 points. The event also served as the opening round of the Division One league.[1]
Organisation and format
[edit]Originally planned as a two-day tournament, the event was reduced to one day because of limited entries. Team Raven organised the tournament, while Phoenix supplied referees under head marshal Carl Anderson.[1]
Games used a five-player, centre-flag format and lasted ten minutes. The field combined bush and speedball features across two elevated areas separated by a steep gully.[1]
Results
[edit]Scores were recorded out of a maximum of 800 points.[1]
