1995 Australian Three-Man Speedball Championships
The 1995 Australian Three-Man Speedball Championships was a paintball tournament held at Heartbreak Ridge Paintball in Sydney, New South Wales, on 5 November 1995. Twenty-three teams competed across professional and amateur divisions. The Delegates won the professional division and Darkside won the amateur division.[1]
Organisation and format
[edit]Manny Kargas organised the tournament. The Firm supplied the referees, with Chris Kargas serving as head referee.[1]
The event comprised 145 games. Games from the two divisions were alternated, allowing teams time to leave the field and prepare for subsequent matches. The contemporary report recorded 75 penalty points across the tournament.[1]
Results
[edit]| Division | Winner |
|---|---|
| Professional | The Delegates |
| Amateur | Darkside |
The Buds, a Queensland team, received the referees’ choice award. Each finalist received a trophy rather than a single trophy being presented to the team captain.[1]
Sponsors
[edit]The contemporary report credited Zap, Perentie Paintball, APGS, Paintball Connection and The Firm with supporting the event. The Firm donated a case of paintballs for the referees’ choice award.[1]
