1998 Australian Seven-Player Paintball Championships
The 1998 Australian Seven-Player Paintball Championships was a paintball tournament held at Yarramundi, New South Wales. Sixteen teams from Australia and New Zealand competed across professional and amateur divisions. Vengeance won the professional division, while New Zealand’s Katipo won the amateur division.[1]
Organisation and format
[edit]The event was organised by Aussie Paintball Games Supplies, with refereeing provided by Top Hat Jokers and Magnum.[1]
Eight professional and eight amateur teams entered. Games were played on four fields named Ferns, Wilderness, Hyperball and Trenches. The fields combined wooded terrain, artificial barricades and trench systems.[1]
Four teams from each division qualified for the finals. Vengeance and Katipo led their respective preliminary divisions, earning the right to select one of the finals fields. Both chose Hyperball, with Trenches used as the second field.[1]
