Fabrice Colombo
Fabrice Colombo, also known as Tavarez or Tava, is a French competitive paintball player, captain associated with TonTons, and founder of the paintball brand SEVEN. He has also captained the French national paintball team.[1][2][3]
Playing career
[edit]Colombo developed his paintball career alongside Frank Mouren. His career record published by SEVEN documents his participation with TonTons across the period from 2004 to 2022.[2]
By October 2013, he was serving as TonTons captain. Contemporary reporting identified him as the author of the team's statement announcing its withdrawal from that year's PSP World Cup.[4]
In French domestic competition, Première Division lists Colombo with Tonton Marseille, wearing number 01 and playing the insert position. He was selected to represent the southern team at the league's 2023 All Star Game.[1]
A 2025 profile published by the municipality of Aubagne also identified Colombo as captain of the French national team, alongside his longstanding involvement with TonTons.[3]
Paintball industry
[edit]Colombo worked in paintball manufacturing and sales before establishing SEVEN. In his account of the company's origins, he described spending five years working for a paintball manufacturer and gaining experience in the production and marketing of paintballs.[2]
SEVEN developed from his interest in applying that experience to his own paintball brand. Aubagne's profile identifies him as its founder and describes its products as biodegradable paintballs.[2][3]
Recognition
[edit]Colombo won the Meilleur Joueur de France award, meaning Best Player in France, at the 2025 Awards Paintball France. The published results combined public and team voting, placing him first ahead of Axel Gaudin and Thomas Spytzma.[5]
