History
Early competition
South East Cartel was competing in Victorian tournament paintball by March 2013.
On 23 March 2013, the team reached the final of the Victorian Paintball Championship at Adrenalin Paintball Club in Newborough, Victoria.
South East Cartel finished second after losing to Hard2Overcome.
The tournament used a five-player race-to-three format. Its results were reported by the Latrobe Valley Express on 27 March 2013.[1]
New Zealand competition
The NZPPL's archived registration list for an October 2012 tournament on the Kāpiti Coast included an entry named South East Cartel.[5]
The registration does not independently establish that the team attended the tournament or confirm its relationship to the later PBLeagues entry.
South East Cartel's confirmed New Zealand tournament appearance took place at the 2014 NZPPL International Pacific Championship, held on 25–26 October 2014 at Asylum Paintball in Auckland.
The team competed in Division 1 X-Ball against seven other teams from New Zealand, Australia and French Polynesia.[3]
South East Cartel finished fifth overall, earning approximately 48.57 ranking points.[3]
The team's tournament results included a 4–1 preliminary victory over eventual champions Trauma.
Other recorded results included a 4–0 victory against CamoMeat, draws against Low Gear and Phoenix Tahiti, and narrow 3–4 defeats against Kamikaze Knights and Legacy NZ.[6]

The team's 2019 Division 1 season included victories at the first two Victorian rounds, followed by third place at Round 3 and second place at Round 4.

Team records
South East Cartel's PBLeagues registration is dated 3 October 2014 and identifies its hometown as Victoria, Australia, with Snipers Den in Melbourne listed as its home field.[2]
This is the database registration date rather than a confirmed founding date, as independent reporting documents the team competing in March 2013.
The PBLeagues database preserves tournament records for the team in 2014 and 2019, together with a registration for the 2020 NXL Australia Victorian opening round.[2]
The 2020 registration does not establish that the tournament took place or that the team competed.
The complete playing roster for the 2014 New Zealand appearance is archived and has not been independently recovered.[6]
