The 2024 ICPL Las Vegas Invitational was a classic ten-player paintball tournament listed for 8–10 March 2024 at Craig Ranch Regional Park in North Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. It took place alongside the 2024 NXL Las Vegas Major and had separate International Classic Paintball League (ICPL) standings for five professional and three amateur teams.[1][2][3]

Chicago Aftershock won the professional classification ahead of Louisville Asylum and Image. Omaha Bulls finished first in the amateur classification, followed by Desert Edge and APE Guerrillas.[2]

Venue and NXL relationship

The Invitational and the NXL Las Vegas Major shared the same published dates and venue: Craig Ranch Regional Park, 628 West Craig Road, North Las Vegas.[1][3]

The ICPL competition had its own registration and final standings. Its information and schedule pages also displayed competitions belonging to the wider NXL event programme. The ICPL final standings contained two classifications: Classic – Pro 10v10 and Classic – Amateur 10v10.[1][2]

The NXL programme separately included an amateur ten-player competition on Sunday. That competition was distinct from the Invitational's three-team ICPL amateur classification.[1][2][4]

Format and schedule

The Invitational offered professional and amateur classic ten-player competition, with a published game time limit of twelve minutes for both classifications.[1]

Classification Format Published game time limit Entries
Professional Classic ten-player 12 minutes 5
Amateur Classic ten-player 12 minutes 3

Professional and amateur teams played against one another in preliminary games labelled “Classic – Mixed 10v10”. The recorded preliminary schedule consisted of 28 games on the Valken field on Friday, 8 March, with each of the eight teams facing the other seven.[4]

A three-team round involving Chicago Aftershock, Image and Louisville Asylum followed in the published schedule under “Classic – Open 10v10”.[4]

The event information notice announced Friday preliminaries and Sunday playoffs. However, the schedule containing the recorded scores dated the three additional games to Friday, 8 March, at 12:00, 12:20 and 12:40.[1][4]
