1993 APL Tournament Championships
The 1993 APL Tournament Championships was the national amateur championship of the American Paintball League's 1993 regional tournament series. Eighteen teams competed at Splat One Adventures in Knoxville, Tennessee, United States.[1]
Runnin' Rebels won the championship after a penalty reversed the apparent result of their final against Green Dragons.[1]
Venue and format
Splat One Adventures, operated by Randy Baxter, hosted the tournament. Preliminary competition took place on woodland fields, while the quarter-finals, semi-finals and placement games used an expanded speedball court.[1]
The eighteen teams initially competed in four groups. Each group winner advanced directly to the quarter-finals. The remaining fourteen teams entered a second preliminary stage, which produced four additional qualifiers.[1]
Lone Wolf, Shadow Company, Green Dragons and Runnin' Rebels qualified through the first stage. Demon Lords, Rad Busters, CIA Widowmakers and Vortex advanced through the second.[1]
