Usage

[edit]

The Short description template provides a brief summary of the subject of a WikiPaintball article.

Place the template at the very beginning of an article, before the introductory paragraph.

{{Short description|Professional paintball team from the United States}}

Examples

[edit]

For a paintball team:

{{Short description|Professional paintball team from California}}

For a player:

{{Short description|New Zealand tournament paintball player}}

For a manufacturer:

{{Short description|American paintball equipment manufacturer}}

For a tournament:

{{Short description|International paintball tournament series}}

For a paintball marker:

{{Short description|Electronic paintball marker manufactured by Planet Eclipse}}

Guidelines

[edit]
  • Keep descriptions concise, ideally under 100 characters.
  • Describe what the subject is rather than its achievements or reputation.
  • Use neutral, factual language.
  • Avoid promotional terms such as "legendary", "famous" or "leading".
  • Use British English.
  • Do not include full stops at the end.
  • Avoid repeating the article title unnecessarily.
  • Only include details supported by the article's sources.

Technical notes

[edit]

This template stores a short description in a hidden HTML element. It does not independently create page metadata, search snippets or mobile descriptions.
