== Later activity ==

A participant account published in 2013 recalls an International Super Seven Championship held in December 2012.

The same account states that the competition adopted a league format and the name Super 7 Paintball League in 2013. [11]

No organiser announcement or complete results for the reported 2012 championship have been identified. The precise organisational relationship between ISSC and the later league therefore remains provisional.

== Competition format ==

=== Seven-player divisions ===

The defining format of the championship was seven-player tournament paintball.

During the 2009 event, the Open and Amateur divisions fielded seven players. The Novice and Young Gun categories remained five-player competitions. [1]

For 2010, the organisers announced that every division would use the seven-player format, with nine active players permitted on each roster. [3]

The available 2011 results establish the competition divisions but do not provide sufficient rules information to confirm that every category retained exactly the same regulations used in 2010.

=== Divisional eligibility ===

Eligibility differed by division and edition.

In 2009, the Open division accepted Asian teams and international teams competing at Division 2 level or below in the NPPL, PSP and Millennium Series.

The Amateur division permitted a maximum of two Malaysian Division 1 players on a roster. The Novice division excluded Malaysian Division 1 and Division 2 players, while the Young Gun division was restricted to Malaysian Division 4 teams. [1]

The 2010 announcement opened the Amateur/Novice division to Asian Division 2 and Division 3 teams. The Young Gun division accepted Malaysian teams without tournament records and teams with Division 4 records during 2010. [3]

== Relationship with other Malaysian competitions ==

The International Super Seven Championship was associated with MY-NPL and appeared in the league's tournament calendar as a feeder event. [8]

It should be distinguished from the [[Malaysian Super Seven Championship]]. The Malaysian Super7 competition was a separate domestic event documented in 2007 and 2008, although both competitions were associated with MY-NPL, Nemesis Paintball Club and seven-player tournament paintball.

The available evidence does not establish that the two names represented the same championship.
