The 2010 CPPS was the 2010 season of the Central Premier Paintball Series, comprising six numbered rounds between 28 February and 5 September 2010. The Firm won the M5 Premier League, Emortal Army won the M5 Championship and KU Nemesis won the M5 Conference. Manchester Firm and Disruption finished level on M7 Super League points; a subsequent Manchester Firm statement placed Birmingham Disruption first and Firm second overall.[1][2][3]

Calendar

[edit]
Round Main competition date Additional programme
Round 1 28 February 2010 —
Round 2 11 April 2010 Saturday Funball on 10 April
Round 3 30 May 2010 Saturday Funball advertised for 29 May
Round 4 27 June 2010 —
Round 5 8 August 2010 Morning and afternoon sessions
Round 6 5 September 2010 Morning and afternoon sessions

The dates are documented by contemporary reports and organiser announcements. Saturday Funball formed a preceding programme at Rounds 2 and 3, rather than an additional numbered round.[4][5][6][7][8][9][10]

Season structure

[edit]

The first three rounds established the M5 seedings used for the subsequent Premier League and Championship structure. The season's final organiser tables cover M7 Super League Race 4, M5 Premier League Race 2, M5 Championship and M5 Conference.[1][2][11]

Round 3 remained at the existing Midland Tournament Paintball Centre because planning issues had delayed a proposed move. Round 4 moved to South Staffordshire College's Rodbaston Campus near Penkridge.[6][8]
