2010 Pattaya International Paintball Championship
2010 Pattaya International Paintball Championship (PIPC) was a paintball tournament held on 13–14 March 2010 at the Thailand Sports Centre, Eastern Region, in Pattaya, Thailand.[1] It formed the opening round of the 2010 Paintball Asia League Series (PALS).[2] Infernal won Division 1, Red Sevens won Division 2 and Demonic Jr won Division 3.[6]
Organisation and venue
[edit]Pattaya City announced the tournament in cooperation with the Tourism Authority of Thailand and the Thailand International Paintball Club. The venue was the Thailand Sports Centre on Soi Chaiyapruek 2, off Sukhumvit Road.[1]
A pre-event report announced 49 teams representing 11 countries. These were the figures publicised before the competition, rather than a verified final attendance count.[1]
A participant's report published on 17 March confirmed that the tournament had taken place. It described the playing surface, compressed-air provision, team accommodation at the field and a trophy presentation at Differ.[4]

[edit]The published registration announcement offered three divisions.[5]

|---|---|---|
| Division 1 | M7, race-to-three | US$400 |
| Division 2 | Five-player M5 | US$320 |

Contemporary coverage
[edit]PaintballAsiaTV published a film under the title “Thailand Paintball World Cup 2009”. Despite that title, its opening graphic identifies the Pattaya International Paintball Championship. A bracket shown at approximately 8 minutes 29 seconds explicitly identifies the 2010 event and names Infernal as Division 1 champion.[7]
Tubchang published footage titled “TIPC Thailand International Paintball Championship 2010 3/5”. At approximately 5 minutes 49 seconds, an on-screen results graphic explicitly identifies the “Pattaya International Paintball Championship 2010”. This establishes that the recording covers this tournament, despite the different wording in its upload title.[8]
