Relationship to the NZPPL series
The Race 2 Open Tournament was listed separately from the NZPPL's 2013 Super 5 Man Series on the league's official results website.[2]
X-Fighter$ Fracture had previously won the opening two Super 5 Man rounds:
- 2013 NZPPL Super 5 Man Event 1 – 9–10 March 2013, Waikanae.
- 2013 NZPPL Super 5 Man Event 2 – 1–2 June 2013, Paraparaumu.
The August–September Race 2 victory was another documented tournament result for the team during 2013.
The official records do not establish that the Race 2 event contributed points towards the separate Super 5 Man championship.
