Editing Thailand Paintball Official Circuit

Thailand Paintball Official Circuit (TPOC) was a competitive paintball tournament series in Thailand, organising five-player speedball events during the 2010s.

The circuit hosted competitions in Bangkok and Phuket, including domestic tournaments and international events attracting teams from Southeast Asia.

Documented events include TPOC Leg 1 at Expressway Paintball Club in February 2014 and the TPOC Gelkaps Phuket International in September 2016.

The circuit used several tournament formats, including five-player Race-to-2, Race-to-4 and X-Ball.

Its exact establishment date, complete tournament calendar and eventual operating status have not been independently established.

History
Development
The Thailand Paintball Official Circuit formed part of Thailand's organised competitive paintball scene during the 2010s.

The circuit provided tournament opportunities for domestic teams while also attracting international competitors.

Its activities overlapped with Thailand's participation in the wider Asian paintball tournament circuit, including the Paintball Asia League Series.

TPOC events used organised competition divisions and published tournament registration systems.

The earliest event independently documented in the sources examined is TPOC Leg 1 in February 2014.

TPOC Leg 1, 2014
TPOC Leg 1 was held on 8–9 February 2014 at Expressway Paintball Club in Bangkok.

The venue was listed as Expressway Paintball Club of Thailand, Jarun Bhurapharat, Rama 9, Bangkok 10210.[1]

The event used a five-player Race-to-2 format.

Two divisions were offered, with six paid team entries in each division.

The published registration fees were US$110 for Division 1 and US$80 for Division 2.

The event's official registration record provides evidence of an organised domestic tournament structure with published competition formats, registration fees and divisions.

Participating teams
PBLeagues tournament histories identify several Thai teams associated with the February 2014 event.

These included:

* Infernal
* SPEED Aisawan
* SPEED Overshoot

Infernal was associated with Expressway Paintball Club, while SPEED Overshoot was associated with Tubchang Field in Bangkok.

These team records demonstrate participation from more than one established Thai competitive paintball group.[2][3]

Event overview
The TPOC Gelkaps Phuket International was held from 23 to 25 September 2016.

The tournament took place at Surin Beach Soccer Stadium, in the Choeng Thale area of Thalang District, Phuket.[4]

Unlike the documented 2014 Bangkok event, the Phuket competition was explicitly promoted as an international tournament.

The event featured three divisions and a total of 30 paid team entries.

The official registration record listed regular entry fees of US$500 for Division 1, US$420 for Division 2 and US$340 for Division 3.

Late registration fees were higher.

The event was organised over three days, from Friday to Sunday.

International participation
The Phuket tournament attracted teams from Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries.

Archived tournament histories document participation by:

* Infernal — Thailand
* Virgin Aisawan — Thailand
* Inception Aisawan — Thailand
* DUCKSIDE AISAWAN — Malaysia
* RASKAL MALAYSIA — Malaysia
* The Simpsons — Malaysia
* Leakside Jokerz Aisawan — Brunei

These entries demonstrate that TPOC's activities extended beyond domestic Thai competition.[5][6][7]

Division 1 results
The archived Division 1 results identify the following leading teams:

The first-, fifth- and seventh-place finishers have not been established from the sources used for this article and are therefore omitted rather than inferred.

The results demonstrate the competitive participation of both Thai and Malaysian teams.

Other divisions
The Division 2 competition included ten registered teams.

The Division 3 competition included twelve registered teams.

Archived team records confirm participation by The Simpsons of Malaysia in Division 2 and Leakside Jokerz Aisawan of Brunei in Division 2.

The Malaysian team KEJAHATAN, also associated with the name Budak Jahat, competed in Division 3 and finished ninth of twelve teams.[7][8]

Competition formats
Five-player speedball
TPOC used five-player competitive paintball formats.

Teams competed on organised tournament fields with timed games and published scoring systems.

The formats varied according to event and division.

Race-to-2
The 2014 Bangkok event used Race-to-2 in both divisions.

The 2016 Phuket event used Race-to-2 in Division 3.

This format required teams to reach the specified point target, subject to the event's game duration and applicable rules.

Race-to-4 and X-Ball
The 2016 Phuket event used Race-to-4 in Division 1 and an X-Ball format in Division 2.

These formats reflected the tournament conventions used in regional and international competitive paintball.

The available event records do not establish whether TPOC followed a single governing body's rulebook throughout its history.

Venues
Expressway Paintball Club
Expressway Paintball Club hosted the documented February 2014 event.

The Bangkok venue was also used for international Paintball Asia League Series tournaments.

Its facilities supported organised competitive paintball and regular team training.

Surin Beach Soccer Stadium
The September 2016 international event was held at Surin Beach Soccer Stadium in Phuket.

The venue's use demonstrates TPOC's expansion beyond Bangkok.

The event record identifies the stadium as the tournament location but does not establish whether the paintball field was permanent or temporarily installed for the competition.

Relationship with international paintball
TPOC operated within a wider Southeast Asian competitive paintball environment.

Thai teams regularly competed in Malaysia and Singapore, while international teams travelled to Thailand for tournaments.

The 2016 Phuket event included competitors associated with teams from Thailand, Malaysia and Brunei.

The presence of international teams and multiple competition divisions demonstrates that TPOC was connected to the wider regional tournament scene.

The documented events also provide evidence of the organised movement of competitive paintball equipment and participants within Southeast Asia during the 2010s.

However, tournament records do not independently establish the customs procedures used by individual competitors.

Industry involvement
Paintball equipment manufacturer DYE Paintball published a report titled "DYE Asia Domination" describing successful performances by its sponsored teams at a Thailand Paintball Official Circuit event in Bangkok.[9]

The report referred to DYE Asia factory teams using M2 MOSAir markers and recording two victories, two additional podium finishes and a fourth-place result.

The publication demonstrates commercial equipment-industry involvement in TPOC competition.

The report's accessible text does not establish the exact date or full results of the event, so it is not assigned to a specific tournament year here.

Historical significance
The Thailand Paintball Official Circuit contributed to the development of organised competitive paintball in Thailand during the 2010s.

Its documented activities demonstrate:

* Domestic five-player speedball competition in Bangkok
* The use of formal tournament divisions and published registration systems
* International tournament activity in Phuket
* Participation by Thai and overseas teams
* The use of multiple competitive paintball formats
* Involvement by established regional teams and equipment manufacturers

The 2014 Bangkok and 2016 Phuket events together account for 42 paid team entries across the two documented tournaments.

These are event entries rather than a count of unique teams or players.

The available records do not establish the full number of events organised by TPOC or the total number of competitors participating throughout its history.
