Splatterzone was an indoor paintball venue at 23 Bennett Street, Palmerston North, New Zealand, beside Daytona Indoor Raceway. Its website, preserved in 2004, advertised an inflatable-bunker playing field, recreational bookings and tournament programmes.[1][2][3] == History == Splatterzone's archived contact page named Stephen King as the contact for the venue and used a shared Daytona and Splatterzone Palmerston North email address.[1] The historical director record for Daytona Indoor Raceway Limited lists Stephen Ernest King as a director during 2004. The company's incorporation predates the documented paintball operation and does not establish when Splatterzone opened.[4] A contemporary review of Splatterzone (Hamilton) stated that its owners also operated Splatterzone in Palmerston North. The two venues were therefore documented as associated operations in 2004.[5] == Facilities == The venue advertised a 22,000-square-foot indoor field with inflatable bunkers, situated next to Daytona Indoor Raceway. It offered daytime and evening play and accepted party bookings for up to 50 people.[2] == Advertised competition == The archived tournament page advertised three- and five-player novice competitions, a three-player Young Guns format and a five-player Top Guns competition using a round-robin format.[3] It also announced plans for leagues throughout the year and the selection of teams for sponsorship to national events. The page did not provide a dated calendar or tournament results.[3] == See also == * Splatterzone (Hamilton) * Paintball in New Zealand == References == # Splatterzone: Contact Information.
