Shockwave was an Australian tournament paintball team captained by Roger Wood. The team competed in the 1995 Australian Three-Man Speedball Championships and won an amateur Fireball Fives tournament during the 1996 Australia Day weekend.[1][2] == Tournament history == === 1995 Australian Three-Man Speedball Championships === Shockwave entered the amateur division of the Australian Three-Man Speedball Championships at Heartbreak Ridge Paintball in Sydney on 5 November 1995.[1] The contemporary report lists the team's participation but does not establish its final placing.[1] === 1996 Fireball Fives === In an account published in Australian Paintballer, captain Roger Wood described Shockwave's victory at the Australia Day weekend Fireball Fives tournament in 1996.[2] Wood stated that the team had finished seventh at its previous Fireball tournament and had subsequently undertaken a more demanding training programme.[2] At the Australia Day event, Shockwave recorded maximum-scoring victories in all four games described in Wood's report. Its opponents included Firefight, a Campbelltown team and the Rough Riders. Wood identified the result as Shockwave's first tournament victory.[2] == Leadership and league representation == Roger Wood was identified as Shockwave's captain in his Fireball tournament account.[2] In 1996, Wood was also listed as secretary of the Australasian Paintball Players League, with Shockwave given as his team affiliation.[3] == Recorded tournament results == {| class="wikitable" !
