Nutters was a Rotorua-based New Zealand tournament paintball team documented during 2001 and 2002. The team competed in both five-player and three-player events.[1][2] == History == A New Zealand paintball forum discussion from 12 June 2001 identified Nutters and Tag n' Release as Rotorua teams. The discussion concerned prospective practice with the Auckland team Insane and does not establish a tournament result or the date on which Nutters was formed.[1] The 2001 Valhalla National Rankings recorded Nutters in two competitions. The team appeared in the preliminary stage of the 2001 South Pacific Championships and at the 2001 Hawke’s Bay Triples. Nutters was placed twelfth in the published five-player national rankings and twenty-fifth in the three-player rankings.[2] The figures in the Valhalla tables were normalised ranking scores rather than the teams' raw tournament points. They therefore do not establish Nutters' exact placing at either event.[2] On 26 January 2002, Nutters competed in the opening round of the 2002 Paintball West 3-Man League at Actions Paintball in Swanson. The contemporary report explicitly listed the team as Nutters (Rotorua) and recorded a score of −1 point. The report did not explain the negative score.[3] A later cumulative league table used the separate name Rotorua 4 for an entry credited with one point in January. The available sources do not establish that Rotorua 4 was Nutters, and the two names should not be treated as interchangeable.[3] No complete Nutters roster or later tournament appearance has been identified. == Recorded competition == {| class="wikitable" !
