'''Northern Rangers''' was an Australian tournament [[paintball]] team from Cairns, Queensland. The team competed at the 1995 Australian Five-Man Open at Mount White, New South Wales.[1] == Tournament history == Northern Rangers travelled from Cairns to compete at the Australian Five-Man Open at Adventure Quest Games' Mount White fields on 25–26 February 1995. The contemporary report described the event as the team's first experience of Australian tournament paintball.[1] Eight teams entered, each playing fourteen preliminary games before the leading four advanced to the finals. Northern Rangers finished eighth in the preliminary standings with two points and did not qualify for the finals.[1] The report noted that chronograph penalties affected the team's performance.[1] == Documented personnel == An advertisement for the following Australian Five-Man Open identified Derek Scammell with Northern Rangers of Cairns. The advertisement appeared in the December 1995–February 1996 issue of ''Australian Paintballer''.[2] == Recorded results == {| class="wikitable" ! Year ! Competition ! Result !
