Maxim Morozov, also known as Max Morozov, is a Russian paintball player and coach associated with Russian Legion. He was a member of Boston Red Legion's winning roster at the 2006 World Cup, where the team secured the National Xball League championship, and its runner-up roster the following year.[1][2][3] His subsequent involvement in paintball included coaching, tournament support and selection for Russia's veterans national team.[4][5][6] == Playing career == === Russian Legion === Morozov played for Russian Legion in professional X-Ball competition during the 2000s. WARPIG's published roster for the 2006 Smart Parts World Championships lists him as Max Morozov, from Moscow, wearing jersey number 31.[7] Later that year, he was registered as a player for Boston Red Legion at the PSP World Cup. The roster included Alexander Berdnikov, Konstantin Fedorov, Mikhail Knyazev, Vasiliy Panteleev, Kirill Prikhidni and Maxim Preobrazhenskiy.[1] Boston Red Legion won the World Cup and the 2006 NXL championship.[2] Morozov remained on the team's World Cup playing roster in 2007. Boston Red Legion defeated San Diego Dynasty in the semi-finals before facing the Los Angeles Ironmen in the final. Legion won the opening match 8 to 7 but lost the next two matches 5 to 11 and 6 to 7, finishing second.[3] === Veterans national team === In March 2017, the Russian Paintball Federation named Morozov in Russia's ten-player veterans squad for players aged 40 and over, following selection trials held in Moscow on 5 March. The squad was led by captain Dmitry Berdnikov and head coach Sergey Samuylov.[6] == Coaching and team support == A contemporary announcement for an open training session at Arena on 22 July 2011 identified Morozov as a coach and a player associated with Russian Legion and Cosmos. The advertised programme covered field analysis, individual technique, team tactics and the correction of playing errors.[4] At the 2015 NXL World Cup, Morozov was registered and checked in as a staff member for Moscow Red Legion rather than as a player.[5] == See also == * Russian Legion * Paintball Sports Promotions * National Xball League * Russian Paintball Federation == References == # Boston Red Legion: 2006 World Cup roster.
