Labuan Paintball Association was a paintball association identified with the Federal Territory of Labuan, Malaysia, during the formation of the Malaysian Paintball Federation in February 2010. The association was listed among the regional paintball organisations represented in a proposed interim committee prepared by Paul WY Lam. Supian bin Ibrahim was named as its proposed representative in documents submitted to Malaysia's Sports Commissioner's Office on 25 February 2010.[1] The association's founding date, leadership, membership, activities and current status have not yet been independently established. {| class="wikitable" |+ Labuan Paintball Association |- ! The Labuan Paintball Association was identified as a regional paintball organisation during efforts to establish a national governing body for paintball in February 2010.[1] The circumstances of the association's establishment, including its founders, registration date and early activities, have not yet been documented. === Malaysian Paintball Federation formation === In February 2010, Malaysian paintball organisers initiated a formal process to establish the Malaysian Paintball Federation. The proposed federation was intended to bring together state and regional paintball associations, clubs, referees, tournament organisers, equipment suppliers and commercial field operators. Its stated objectives included recognition of paintball as a sport, clarification of regulations affecting paintball equipment, development of safety standards and support for grassroots participation.[1] A public hearing concerning the federation's formation was scheduled for 25 February 2010 at the National Sports Institute in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. The hearing was associated with Malaysia's Sports Commissioner's Office. === Proposed Labuan representative === Before the public hearing, Paul WY Lam prepared a proposed interim committee consisting of representatives from different sectors of the Malaysian paintball community. The proposal included representatives of regional paintball associations alongside equipment suppliers, tournament promoters, referees and field operators. The Labuan Paintball Association's nominated representative was Supian bin Ibrahim.[1] The proposed committee was submitted to the Sports Commissioner's Office on 25 February 2010 and subsequently published by Allan Phang. The original announcement stated that proposed appointments were subject to the acceptance of the individuals invited. Consequently, Supian bin Ibrahim's inclusion establishes his nomination as the association's representative, but does not establish that he accepted the appointment or subsequently served on the national federation committee. === Provisional committee announcement === Following the public hearing, the federation organisers published the membership of a selected provisional steering committee on 27 February 2010.[1] The committee included representatives of several Malaysian paintball associations and clubs. However, Supian bin Ibrahim was not named among the selected officeholders or additional committee members. The Labuan Paintball Association was also not separately identified in the published committee list. The available records therefore establish the association's inclusion in the original federation proposal, but not its representation on the subsequently selected provisional committee. The surviving announcement does not explain why the proposed Labuan representative was not included. == Role in Malaysian paintball == === Regional representation === The Labuan Paintball Association was among the regional organisations identified during the February 2010 national federation formation process. Although Labuan is a federal territory rather than a Malaysian state, the association appeared in the section of the proposed committee listing paintball state associations.[1] Its inclusion demonstrates that the federation organisers sought representation from Labuan as part of the proposed national structure. The available records do not establish the association's membership numbers, affiliated clubs or internal governance arrangements. === Relationship with the Malaysian Paintball Federation === The Malaysian Paintball Federation formation initiative is the principal documented national administrative activity associated with the Labuan Paintball Association. The proposed federation sought to establish a representative structure through which regional associations and other paintball organisations could participate in national sporting administration. The Labuan Paintball Association was included in the original proposal through Supian bin Ibrahim.[1] However, the association was not separately represented in the selected provisional committee announced on 27 February 2010. The available evidence does not establish whether it subsequently became a formally registered member of the completed federation. == Documented representatives == {| class="wikitable" ! Name ! Source |- | Supian bin Ibrahim | Proposed representative of Labuan Paintball Association in the Malaysian Paintball Federation interim committee | 2010 | Federation formation records [1] |} Supian bin Ibrahim's formal position within the Labuan Paintball Association has not been established. The available records do not identify the association's president, secretary, treasurer or other officeholders. == Later history == The association's activities following the February 2010 federation formation initiative have not yet been independently documented. Its participation in tournaments, player development programmes, referee training or other sporting activities remains unverified. The association's current registration and operating status are also unknown. The absence of later public records does not establish that the organisation was dissolved. == Historical significance == The Labuan Paintball Association forms part of the documented history of efforts to establish national paintball governance in Malaysia. Its inclusion in the February 2010 federation proposal demonstrates that organisers sought representation from the Federal Territory of Labuan alongside Malaysian state associations and commercial participants in the sport. Although the association's wider history remains incompletely documented, the original committee proposal provides evidence of its recognition within the national paintball community at that time. == Timeline == {| class="wikitable" !
