Junkyard Dogs, also recorded as Junk Yard Dogs, JY Dogs and JYD, was an Australian tournament paintball team. The team finished fourth in the professional division of 1999 APPL Round One and later appeared in the five-player competition at the 2002 World Cup in Florida.[1][2][3][4] == Tournament history == === 1998 Australian Seven-Player Championships === An entry named JY Dogs competed in the professional division of the 1998 Australian Seven-Player Paintball Championships at Yarramundi, New South Wales.[1] The team finished sixth in the eight-team professional preliminary standings with 530 points and did not qualify for the four-team finals.[1] === 1999 APPL Round One === Junk Yard Dogs competed in the professional division of the opening round of the 1999 Australasian Paintball Players League competition.[2] The contemporary report records a preliminary victory over The Creed on the Demolition field. After losing players early, JYD recovered to eliminate its opponents and complete a maximum-scoring win.[2] JYD finished fourth in the professional preliminary standings with 550 points and qualified for the finals. It finished fourth overall with 15 finals points, behind SWAT, Rat Pak and No Remorse.[2] === 2002 World Cup === WARPIG's schedules for the 2002 World Cup at Kissimmee, Florida, list Junkyard Dogs of Australia in the five-player competition.[3] The published 2002 NPPL five-player novice rankings record the team with 17 ranking points from the World Cup. These are ranking points rather than a tournament placing.[4] == Recorded results == {| class="wikitable" ! Year ! Competition ! Division ! Recorded outcome !
