Jarrod Findlay is a New Zealand paintball player associated with Team Insane. Contemporary records list him in Insane’s 2007 Auckland Super 5s roster, while his January 2008 recruitment posts document the team’s activities at Actions Paintball.[1][2] == Team Insane == === 2007 competition === Findlay appeared in a Team Insane roster published in July 2007 as part of the Auckland Super 5s series discussion. The other listed players were Tabitha Crump, Francis Hambrock, Gareth Appleby, Justin Spencer and Sam Houlihan.[1] In correspondence supplied to WikiPaintball, Findlay identified himself and six teammates in a photograph from the 2007 New Zealand Paintball Nationals at Actions Paintball. He recalled buying the team’s shirts, arranging their screen printing and buying trousers for its players.[3] === Development team and recruitment, 2008 === On 13 January 2008, Findlay posted a recruitment notice introducing himself as being from East Auckland Insane. He explained that the team had more players than available places at the 2007 Nationals, leading to Insane and the nucleus of a separate development team.[2] The development team was unnamed at the time, although “Asylum” had been suggested. The post does not establish that this name was subsequently adopted.[2] Findlay described twice-monthly training, participation in five-player tournaments and promotional and refereeing work for sponsor Actions Paintball. In a reply dated 22 January, he confirmed that the team played out of Actions.[2] === Recollections of X-Ball activity === In correspondence recorded in October 2026, Findlay recalled Insane training for X-Ball while also participating in seven-player capture-the-flag tournaments. He described helping organise monthly X-Ball events at Actions Paintball and recalled playing against Intense. The precise dates of this activity remain uncertain.[4] == References == # Auckland Super 5’s Series Thread.
