Extreme Events was an Auckland-based paintball organisation headed by Wayne Rolleston, a member of Phantom. It operated inflatable paintball fields and organised tournaments, including the 2003 Super 5s series and 2003 Auckland Queen’s Birthday Superball.[1][2] == History == === Company registration === Extreme Events Limited was incorporated in New Zealand on 25 July 2001 under company number 1142960. The Companies Register identifies Wayne Anthony Rolleston as its director and records a registered office in Huapai, Auckland. The company is recorded as removed from the register.[3] === Inflatable field === Following the 2001 Rotorua tournament, Extreme Events purchased the Sup'Air inflatable field used at that event. Rob Maddox's contemporary report identifies Rolleston as the head of the organisation and records the field's return for the 2002 Volcanic Rotorua Paintball Tournament, held on 1–2 June 2002.[1] === Tournament organisation === By June 2003, Extreme Events was hosting a monthly Super 5s competition in Auckland.[2] Its venue hosted the 2003 Auckland Queen’s Birthday Superball, a seven-player tournament forming part of the NZPPA “Big Three” programme. Twelve teams competed on two airball fields, with an indoor area available for teams to prepare their equipment.[2] Rolleston was identified as the principal organiser, while Phantom supplied most of the referees. Phoenix won the tournament, ahead of Raiders, Saints and Bad Karma.[2] == See also == * Paintball West * Phantom (New Zealand Paintball Team) * Super 5s (New Zealand) * 2003 Auckland Queen’s Birthday Superball == References == # The 2002 Rotorua Volcanic Paintball Tournament.
