== History ==

=== Formation and early competition ===

A retrospective published in July 2011 traced the team's formation to ''The Magic Gatherings'', a paintball gathering organised by Red Dynasty Paintball Park in August 2008. The team made its competitive debut in the Singapore Paintball Novice Series in October that year. [1][2]

Contract Killers finished second behind Red West in the opening leg of the 2009 series. Captained by Benguin, the team recorded five wins, one draw and two losses in qualification before defeating Dark Militia in the semi-finals. [3]

The team finished third in the second leg. Its recorded line-up for that event comprised captain “Shark” Shakil, Aaron Tan, Benguin Tan, Shamel Mayor and Mohd Fazly. [4]

=== International competition ===

Contract Killers finished second in Division 4 at the 2009 World Cup Asia, its first international tournament. [1]

On 13 December 2009, the team organised a paintball clinic and small competition at Red Dynasty Paintball Park. The event formed part of the park's Reds Team Support Program. Contract Killers donated four goggles from its World Cup Asia prizes to the winning team. [5]

In 2010, Contract Killers competed in Division 3 at the Pattaya International Paintball Championship in Thailand. [1]

A report published on 4 July 2011 recorded the team's Division 3 victory at the third round of the Malaysian National Paintball League. It also identified Skirmish Paintball Asia, Captain O-Ring and Ansgear as the team's sponsors that year. [2]

=== Singapore Paintball Series ===

Contract Killers SG finished third in the Open Division at the first leg of the 2012 Singapore Paintball Series at Farrer Park. The team defeated Red Sevens I in the third-place play-off. [6]
